Harvest Journal 2024
Welcome to the most exciting time of the winemaking year: Harvest! This year, our neighbors at Domaine Chandon officially kicked off the 2024 season, picking in the early hours of August 7th, 2024. (Sparkling producers typically pick a week to three weeks earlier than their still wine counterparts to obtain grapes with higher acidity.)
Our very first sampling numbers have come in, and though it's been warm, we've still got some time before the sugars and acidity reach optimum levels in our early varieties, Chardonnay, Albariño and Pinot Noir. The winery is sparkling clean and ready for fruit. Follow along with us as we share the thrills and spills (hopefully, not too many of those!) of a Napa Valley harvest!
